My Online Therapy has a medical billing partner, Patient Billing who processes invoices for sessions with insurance clients. If you are liable to pay for an excess on your policy, Patient Billing will contact you in the first instance to advise how you can pay. You should have already received your invoice from Vitality at this point, so Patient Billing will only be asking you to pay what you have received notification of.
Patient Billing will offer you the option of paying over the phone using a debit/credit card or they can give you their bank details to pay by bank transfer. Once Patient Billing have received the money you owe towards your claim, they will then transfer to My Online Therapy for payment to your psychologist.
Please note that non-payment of excesses can lead to a collections process being implemented with further bookings of future sessions potentially stopped until the full amount owed is paid.
Where did Patient Billing get my contact details?
When My Online Therapy submit an invoice to your insurer, client details need to be provided including email addresses and telephone numbers in addition to session information and membership numbers. As Patient Billing process invoices for sessions with insurance clients on behalf of Patient Billing, they have access to your contact information in the event that you are liable to pay in contribution to your claim so they can discuss payment.
